Wishbones for Pets to Benefit B.A.R.C.

Thanksgiving is the holiday that encourages us to step back and give thanks for all the blessings we have. We often think of turkey, desserts, parades, and football games on this special day.

It is also a time we traditionally see community food drives for people but what about all the homeless animals and the organizations of dedicated volunteers who rescue those animals? It was that question that sparked an idea from Janet Depathy of Under My Wings Pet Sitting in Plymouth, MA to form a signature event just for pet sitters. This program involves a network of pet sitters during the Thanksgiving season who want to help animals in their community by hosting a pet goods/fund drive called Wishbones for Pets.

As the Wishbones for Pets representative for the San Bernardino area Comfy Paws has chosen the Benevolent Animal Rescue Committee (BARC) to be the beneficiary of this years’ supply/fund raiser.

BARC's wishlist:

Dog and cat food
Dog and cat toys
Collars and leashes for dogs
Collars for cats
Towels and blankets
Laundry detergent
Kitty litter
Monetary donations to assist in providing medical care, vaccines, flea products, spaying and neutering and financial aid to low income pet owners.
